178D15AL entered service in the Danish Army in 1967. The
178, designated as Truck, 7.000 kg, was primarily used in
artillery-units as cargo-carrier and artillery-tractor
and by logistic units. All the Danish 178´s were
delivered with closed cab.
Here shown before departure to the former Yugoslavia as
part of the UNPROFOR.
Now superseded by the Magirus Eurotrakker.
Some 80 trucks have been donated to Estonia as aid.
Historical: The 178D15AL superseded the Magirus
Jupiter in 1964.
The 178 was produced until 1967 at the Magirus factory at
Ulm.
