Here the M38A1 is shown
with a 106 mm recoilless rifle M40.
Modification on the vehicles included reinforced
suspension, braces for the front-spring shackles,
dash-mounted clamp to secure the gun barrel in
travelling-position, divided wind-screen, racks for
stowing the rounds and a equipment stowage box. Spare
wheel and jerry-can were relocated to the right side of
the vehicle. The back panel of the vehicle was cut away.
The rear seat was removed and replaced by a small folding
jump seat on the left hand rear wing.
