Specific: The Peugeot 505´s
primary role was staff car for garrison- and
regimental-commanders. Also available as GRD
(diesel-engine).
Historical: The 505 was introduced in 1979 as
successor to the 504. It was available with 1.8 and 2.0 liter
carburettor engines, a 2.2 liter engine with injection
and later a turbo charged engine with 150 hp. Also a 2.5
liter diesel and a turbo diesel were available. Later
followed a V6 petrol engine. The 505 was modernised in
1985, and production closed in 1992.
