Mercedes 911 teletype van as used by the 2nd and the 6th Danish Signal Battalion. The shelter, produced by Piaggio in Italy, was made of aluminium. Inside the shelter were up to 7 teletype positions with cryptographic equipment (KW-7 or BID 610). The shelter was EMP-proof, and mounted with a NBC filter-equipment. Behind the truck is a 18.8 kW Hercules generator, produced by Kurtz & Root.
In 1981 the shelters form 2nd Danish Signal Battalion was transferred to IVECO Magirus 110 - 16 AWM.
