This containerised
fuel-delivery system, known as "Tankcontainer
TA-M/2003", was developed in the late 1990´s. It
complies to current EU standards regarding handling of
hazardous material. The central mounted tank contains
6.000 liter of fuel. Furthermore 74 jerry-cans can be
carried. The container has a diesel-engine, type ID 50, which supply
power (24 Volt DC) to the pumps, lightning etc.
The system can refuel 3 vehicles simultaneously with a
delivery speed up to 200 liter pr. minute.
When used tactical an 8 x 8 truck is used to carry the
fuel-delivery system.
The last of a total of 46 systems, all produced by BILCON
in Aalborg, were handed over to the Danish Army Material
Command in March 2004. At least 2 systems were used by
the Danish forces in Kosovo (KFOR).
