The first trials with armored trucks in the Danish Army was made with this Danish produced 2 Ton Gideon truck in spring 1917.
The truck was powered by a 4-cylinder engine developing 14.8 hp. The "armor" was a mock-up made of ply-wood.
After participating in further trials with success the Danish Army Command requested for funds to purchase a truck chassis and armor.
The request was denied.
