Specific: In 1908 the Danish
Army used the fall-exercises to carry out field-tests
with trucks. Competitors were Scheibler, Daimler, Fiat,
Büssing, N.A.G., Armstrong and Hally. 2 trucks, the Fiat
and the Daimler were found to fulfil the requirements of
the army with the Fiat as the most suitable.
October the 16th the Ministry of War decided to buy the
Fiat at a price of 14.600 DKr.
In 1909 the Army Technical Corps was founded, and the
truck became the very first to carry a army license plate
- "HtK 1"
