After been using a type based on the Carrier for more than 10 years, the shown type (Mk. III) was suggested in 1959, based on Dodge WC 51 and WC 56. Existing frames from the Carriers could be used, and only few items such as windscreen, spare wheel and the back rest of the cargo body had to be removed.
50 such dummies were produced and handed over to the units.
