Historical
: The purpose of this vehicle was to provide mobile facilities for crane, shovel, dragline, back hoe, clamshell and pile driver operations. The accessories were transported on a 2-axle trailer.
The unit was mounted on a motorised chassis for rapid point-to-point travel, as well as for transporting the the lifted load when used as a crane. The revolving frame contained the operating machinery, mounted on a cast steel frame.

Weight: 19.000 kg (41.800 lb.).

: 6-cylinder International Harvester, type RD-406, 6.640 cm3 (405 cubic inches), liquid cooled or a 6-cylinder International Harvester, type RD-450, 7.380 cm3 (450 cubic inches), liquid cooled.
Horsepower: 154 at 3.200 rpm/162 at 3.000 rpm.
Transmission: 5-speed.
Transfer case: 2-speed.

Additional: The crane was driven by either a 6-cylinder Waukesha 6 BZ engine developing 80 hp (below serial no. 437) or a 6-cylinder Continental M 330 engine developing 82 hp (above serial no. 470). Max. lifting capacity was 8 ton.
The unit was produced by Wayne Crane Division, American Steel Dredge CO., INC in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
