acquired late 2004/early 2005. Both 4 x 2 and 4 x 4
versions have been delivered.
Historical: The VW T5 Transporter was launched
in late 2003 and became "International Van of the
Year 2004" on 16th October 2003 at the 2004 RAI
trade show in Amsterdam. Prior to this award,
Volkswagen's new Transporter had already been named
Germany's "Van Of The Year" and the English
magazine "What Van?" also gave "Van Of The
Year" status to the T5.
A special lowered chassis is used for a camper known as
the "Colorado" constructed by Karman-Mobile.
The T5 series is assembled at the company's plants in
Hannover in Germany and Poznan in Poland.
