Danish Army Specific: The Golf is primarily used by garrison units, although some are seen attached to field units.
Historical
: The A3 version was introduced on the German market in August 1991. The A3 model was produced at VW´s factories in Wolfsburg, Osnabrück, Brussels (Belgium), Mexico and South Africa. When production ceased in December 1997 some 4.8 millions had been made.
