Danish Army Specific: Bought in 1996 the Peugeot 406 supersedes the VW Passat. The 406 is used as staff car for garrison- and regimental-commanders.
Historical
:
The Peugeot 406 was introduced in September 1995. The 1997 model-year car has anti-lock brakes, door beams, a driver airbag, height-adjustable front seat belts with pre-tensioners and a three-point centre rear belt.
Length: 4.55 m (177 inches).
Width: 1.76 m (68 inches).
Height: 1.39 m (54 inches).
Weight: 1.875 kg (4.125 lb.).
Engine
: Own 4-cylinder, 1.761 cm3 (107 cubic inches) displacement, injection, liquid cooled.
Horsepower: 112 at 5.500 rpm.
Transmission: 5-speed.
Transfer case: None.
Electrical system: 12 volt, negative ground.
Brakes: Hydraulic, vacuum assisted.
Tyres: 185/70 - R14.
