Specific: One of the latest
vehicles bought for the Danish Army is the Eagle (36
delivered 1995 - 1997), build by the Swiss company Mowag
on a platform of the HMMWV. The Eagle competed with
Panhard VBL, AM General HMMWV and ACORN by Alvis.

A newer version, the EAGLE II, is now made based on the
ECV (Expanded Capacity Vehicle) HMMWV chassis of AM
GENERAL CORP. This provides a higher engine performance
as well as an increased payload carrying capacity.
This vehicle has not been acquired by Denmark.
