To the left a Bedford QLC
with what appears to be a RAF Signals body, known as the
type "J". These bodies were produced by Dennis
Bros. & Son, Ltd in 1944 and 1945. They were
originally developed to be used as a Mobile Operation
Room.
The bodies had timber frames with double walls and
insulated panels. There was a compartment over the spare
wheel and certain models had the roof extended over the
cab. The body was wired for 230V AC and special fittings
included a 20-gallon water tank and a petrol-electric
generating set.
The specific use in the Danish Army is not known, but the
shown vehicle belonged to the former Zealand Signal
Regiment.
To the right a Dodge WC51 from the same regiment.
